Myles’ Pesky Friends is set in Grenada, in the Eastern Caribbean. The book chronicles the relationship with a four-year old boy, Myles, and the creatures with whom he shares his Grenada vacation home. While Myles’ Dad never quite understands the nature of these friendships, he finally embraces Myles’ pesky friends when they help the family through an unanticipated storm which interrupts their holiday.

Brad Martin is the retired Chairman and CEO of retailer, Saks Incorporated. During his 18 years as Chairman and CEO of Saks and its predecessor firm, the company grew to become one of the largest retailers in the United States. Martin also co-founded Corporate Child Care Solutions, which became the leading employer-affiliated child care company in the U.S.

Micki Martin is an artist and photographer. She has worked in the retail and magazine industries in New York and resides in Memphis with her husband and daughter.

Andrea Truan is an illustrator, designer, multi-media artist, and creative director. She has a fifteen-year successful work record in the designing arts community and communications industry with clients as diverse as Disney, Fisher-Price Toys, and HGTV. Andrea is also Managing Partner of a children’s media studio, Heap A Taters. Andrea, her husband Jon, and daughter Savannah live in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Myles’ Pesky Friends is dedicated to the special children and caring staff of the Queen Elizabeth Home for Children located in Tempe, St. Georges, Grenada. Opened in 1964, the Queen Elizabeth Home for Children provides housing and related support to approximately 28 children, ages 1 – 8. The R. Brad Martin Family Foundation provides financial support to the operations of the Queen Elizabeth Home.
